Overview

Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting a Nights Care and Support Assistant at our Tollemache Respite Service, a CQC Registered service for Learning & Physical Disabilities.

Salary: £12.60 per hour • Hours: 20 hours per week

The role

The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering sensitive care and expert support to our customers
  • Encouraging resident integration and inclusion into the community
  • Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
  • Sleep-ins (as and when required)
  • General cleaning and cooking
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
  • Conducting bed calls and morning calls to a high standard
Skills and qualifications
  • Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar care-related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
