Job summary

A prominent NHS foundation trust in Greater London is seeking an Oncology and Haematology Clinical Trials Data Manager. The role involves coordinating data collection for cancer trials, ensuring data quality and security, and providing training on data management. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical and IT skills, along with previous experience in an NHS setting. A degree and good communication skills are essential. This position offers a competitive salary of £33,094 to £36,195 per year, inclusive of HCA.

Qualifications

  • Proven IT skills including handling hospital databases such as EPR, PIMS.
  • Previous experience handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate data collection for patients in cancer trials.
  • Accurately enter large amounts of research and patient data.
  • Maintain the quality of data collected within timelines.
  • Provide advice and training on data management.
  • Create and manipulate databases and reports.

Skills

Excellent numerical skills
Good communication skills
Proven organisational skills
Proven IT skills including use of Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
Ability to work independently
Ability to assess and interpret clinical/non-clinical information
Experience of working effectively in a team
Previous experience in an NHS setting

Education

Good standard of education with English and Maths to at least GCSE grade C or equivalent
Degree or equivalent qualification
