Job summary

A national trade union in Greater London seeks a Campaign Manager to deliver and innovate in campaign services. You will coordinate strategies to engage membership and the public, collaborate with departmental managers, and ensure compliance with regulations. Job description

Purpose:

  • To ensure the delivery of a comprehensive campaigns service including utilising new and innovative digital campaigning techniques to increase mobilisation and engagement among members and the wider public.
  • To develop and co-ordinate the delivery of the Union’s campaigns strategy to maximise membership and activist mobilisation in RMT campaigns, using the Union’s internal systems, new technology where appropriate and through fostering external networks to compliment and amplify campaigns and messaging.
  • To work collaboratively with other Departmental Managers to develop campaign capacity at national level and at the levels of the Union - Nations, Regions and Locally, harmonise communication practices, and contribute to the development of the Campaigns Department.
  • To ensure that the implementation of the Union’s campaigning strategy supports the strategic objectives of the Union (industrial, political and organisational) as determined by the General Secretary and National Executive Committee.
  • To manage staff, resources, and operations for the campaigns department, whilst making sure the department operates both effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring that the Department remains in compliance with all appropriate laws and regulations.
