Overview

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated B7 Nurse prescriber to join our Neurodevelopmental Team. We would consider offering this as a preceptorship B6 moving to B7 on successful completion of non-medical prescriber training which the Trust will support. We are a multidisciplinary team who work with young people with a diagnosed moderate to severe Learning Disability and provide assessment and treatment for Autism and ADHD. The team provides mental health assessments for young people with a neurodevelopmental disorder and also psychological therapies for co-morbid mental health disorders. We are committed to a high level of patient care and the ideal candidate will have a strong team and work ethic, sense of accountability, interest in research and service development, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. Responsibilities
  • To offer ADHD medication reviews for young people under the Neurodevelopmental Team and monitoring the impact of medication and ensuring safe prescribing practices are in place.
  • To provide an evidence-based therapy service to children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities in the Neurodevelopmental Service CAMHS which is part of the Children, Young People and Families Directorate in CPFT.
  • Patients will be managed on a community basis, providing assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders and/or comorbid mental health disorder and evidence-based therapy.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team\'s and Trust\'s policies and procedures.
  • To offer advice and consultation on patient\'s neurodevelopmental and mental health care to colleagues and partner agencies and to other non-professional carers.
