Responsibilities

  • Provide support services to children, adolescents, and their families/carers with complex needs.
  • Organize workload for a range of complex cases.
  • Carry out mental health assessments and provide community-based interventions.
  • Monitor effects of prescribed medication and report side effects.
  • Promote understanding of mental health issues among families and other professionals.

Skills

Knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders within children
Ability to assess, plan and deliver treatment and evaluate care packages
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Skills in risk assessment and management of self harm

Education

Current Professional Registration
Qualification in therapeutic modality
