Overview

This is a recruitment opportunity to join the CAMHS Phoenix Unit, an adolescent Tier 4 Alternative to Admission Out of Hospital Service for up to 16 young people, located in the grounds of Wokingham Hospital. The post provides medical leadership to an established multidisciplinary team caring for young people with acute and complex mental health needs.

This post includes a remuneration package for the successful external applicant: £15,000 - Recruitment & Retention Premia; £8,000 - Relocation Allowance (if applicable); £950 - CPD Allowance; 1 PA for Special interest (subject to agreement); Car Allowance - Through Salary Sacrifice.

The unit offers Tier 4 care packages with coordinated, intensive and multimodal interventions and evidence-based treatment when needs cannot be met by community CAMHS or crisis services. Psychiatric input, if required out of hours, is provided by a rota of CAMHS consultants on call; core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
