Job Summary

North Bedfordshire CAMHS CAMHS Clinical Team Lead for Bedford CAMHS Emotional & Behavioural Pathway (EBT3) - Band 8c ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement, rated Outstanding by CQC. Children's Mental Health Services across Bedford's ICB area were ranked overall top in the country in the Children's Commissioner Report for the last 2 years.

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced CAMHS Clinician who is excited to lead one of our core team, to maintain our high standards and innovate for continued improvement. We would welcome applications from senior clinicians from a core CAMHS discipline (Child Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, Nursing or Social Workers) who are able to provide senior clinical leadership and operational management.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the clinical, professional, strategic and partnership agenda of the Bedfordshire CAMH service. They will have the support of the CAMHS Senior Leadership Team.

The Bedford Borough Core CAMHS team consists of a wide range of professions including nursing, arts therapies, psychology, family therapy and psychiatry. We are dedicated to supporting the development of our workforce and ensuring that there are opportunities for training and team away days. You will be based in our clinic in Bedford which has excellent transport links and first class personal and professional development opportunities in an award-winning Trust. The Trusts inpatient and community CAMHS services have recently been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

Person Specification

  • Essential: Degree level study or equivalent / Further post degree qualification
  • Essential: Current Registration with appropriate professional body e.g. ACP/ HPC / UKCP / NMC

Experience

  • Essential: Experience of providing senior clinical leadership
  • Essential: Experience of supervising and line managing in a multidisciplinary / multiagency context
  • Essential: Experience of contributing to service developments
  • Essential: Experience of representing the service a multi-agency strategic planning level groups

Skills

  • Essential: Ability to provide senior clinical leadership and management across disciplines
  • Essential: Ability to take a lead in service developments
  • Essential: Ability to liaise and consult with other agencies effectively

Knowledge

  • Essential: Advanced knowledge within own clinical discipline and sufficient knowledge of other disciplines / modalities to provide overall psychological therapies leadership
  • Essential: Broad theoretical knowledge base in the analysis of highly complex facts or situations to arrive at appropriate formulations
