Job Description

A well-established engineering business is seeking an Electronics Calibration Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide variety of electronic products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Service, test, repair, and recalibrate electronic products in line with specifications and procedures.
  • Diagnose faults down to the component level on complex products.
  • Dismantle and reassemble products to original standards.
  • Conduct testing using the appropriate documentation and equipment.
  • Evaluate and repair defective PCBs when required.
  • Provide technical support and product feedback to customers and internal teams.
  • Complete all relevant service reports and repair documentation.
  • Carry out re-calibration work in line with recognised standards.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of industry test standards and electronic device requirements.

The Candidate

Holds an engineering qualification

Able to interpret and work from circuit diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.

Skilled in electronic assembly

Soldering experience

Proficient with electronic test equipment

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact at all levels.

Ideally, a minimum of two years’ experience in a service or repair environment, including component-level fault finding.

The Salary

£25,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
