Job summary

A community organization in Scotland is looking for a motivated Cafe Operative to manage the daily operation of their cafe. The successful candidate should have cafe experience, strong cooking skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include preparing food, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining hygiene standards. This position offers 28 hours of work from Thursday to Sunday at a pay rate of £13.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cafe, kitchen, or food-service environment.
• Confidence in preparing food to order.
• Positive team player who can also run shifts alone.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook cafe menu items to a consistent high standard.
• Open and close the cafe, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.

• Manage cash/card payments and handle basic admin duties.
• Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
