CAD Technician (26874) Slough, England

We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to join a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy, in a contract position outside IR35. As the successful candidate, you will be required to work on a hybrid basis (3-4 days) from our client’s office in Slough. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading consultancy on clean water and renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify CAD drawings in line with established standards.
  • Support document workflows, including drawing issue and management via ProjectWise.
  • Handle admin tasks such as electronic filing and version control.
  • Develop skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related tools through training and mentorship.
  • Convert topographical, survey, and point cloud data into CAD/BIM outputs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams across civil, structural, water, and rail disciplines.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working on clean water and renewable projects.
  • Must have water infrastructure experience, including pipework and clean water.
  • Strong understanding and experience with AutoCAD.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Desirable: Experience with Civil 3D, MicroStation, BIM, survey data, or point-cloud processing.
