What does a day in the life of an CAD Technician look like?

You’ll create and maintain topographical plans using CAD software, Interpret survey data and integrate into design outputs and ensure plans meet internal standards and client specifications as well as assist the Head of Arboriculture with administrative tasks.

Skills and experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
  • Understanding of topographical mapping and survey data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in environmental, landscaping, or arboriculture sectors (desirable but not essential)
  • HNC / HND or equivalent in CAD Design or related field
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
