Overview

Location: Henley on Thames

We are looking for an AutoCAD Technician to join our Henley team with a focus on providing technical services for a number of hospitality and housing clients. You’ll be working within a team of experienced Engineers and Technicians. This role requires AutoCAD skills, technical knowledge and project management abilities to deliver projects to a high standard and within required timescales.

Responsibilities
  • Programming of resources and tasks to ensure projects are delivered within required timescales.
  • Supporting a team of engineers and technicians to deliver residential housing projects.
  • Overseeing several projects simultaneously.
  • Ensuring that each stage of the project is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Able to work independently as well as supporting junior staff.
  • Produce detailed substructure and superstructure drawings and details. Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
  • Reporting regularly on progress to Associates/Partners.
  • Dealing with technical and construction queries in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing and commenting on third party designs/drawings.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified to HNC level would be advantageous, but not necessary.
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge in the use of AutoCAD.
  • Keen focus on quality whilst also able to work at pace within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Some experience of building structures and knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and load bearing masonry structures would be an advantage; though experience of CAD within a connected sector would also be satisfactory.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive working attitude.
