Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking Cabling Engineers to work onsite in Glasgow on a permanent basis. The role includes installing and testing copper cabling and containment systems in a commercial public sector environment. Overview

We are currently recruiting for a number of Cabling Engineers to work onsite in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role will be to install, test and commission copper cabling and containment systems on a business / commercial public sector site.

Responsibilities

This role involves installing structured cabling, including UTP, STP, FTP, general common cables, single-mode, and multi-mode fibre cables, along with all necessary containment and connection units. Additionally, you will be tasked with installing earthing and bonding cables and fitting out enclosures with structured cable termination equipment such as connection units, hubs, switches, routers, and patch panels.

Qualifications / Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience of copper cabling including Cat5E UTP/STP, Cat6 UTP/STP and Cat6A UTP/STP. You will have installation, commissioning and termination experience as well as experience with wall and floor mounted solutions.

The salary and benefits for this role are as follows:
