Job description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Structured Cabling Engineers to join our growing team in Hull. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optics.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optics).
  • Perform site surveys and assessments.
  • Ensure all cabling installations adhere to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project records.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and contractors on-site.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Engineer or similar role.
  • Data Centre experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and standards.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment for copper and fibre installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • CNCI Certification (Certified Network Cable Installer) or equivalent.
  • ECS/CSCS Card.
  • IPAF and PASMA certifications.
