Job Overview

Astute's EPC Contract Power team is partnering with an EPC Contractor within the UK and Global Power Industry to recruit a C&I Commissioning Technician on a 6‑month initial contract for its Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant based in Lincolnshire. The C&I Commissioning Technician role comes with a day rate from £400 to £450.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
  • Updating and maintaining maintenance records within the internal systems.
  • Self‑motivated, can‑do attitude with an eye for identifying and recommending maintenance improvement opportunities, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Actively contribute to the safe, efficient and cost‑effective running of the OCGT plant.
  • Developing knowledge of control systems once set up.
  • Required to work at height and in confined spaces.
  • Able to work with computers, with sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexible approach to hours of work, particularly during plant outages when weekends, nights and bank holidays will have to be worked.
  • Day‑to‑day communication with the Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer.
  • Report accidents and near misses and participate in investigations.
  • Experience working within the Power Industry as a C&I Commissioning Technician.
Location, Remuneration and Timeframe
  • Location: Lincolnshire
  • Remuneration: £400.00 to £450.00 per day
  • Start date: January 2026
  • Contract: 6‑month contract
