Overview

Production Buyer Vacancy - Contract Filling. Location: Crewe. Salary: £35k + Great Company Benefits + Training and Development. Type: Permanent.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring purchased parts are to optimum value, required quality and delivered on time
• Purchasing raw materials and components to achieve the production schedule
• Developing appropriate plans to achieve objectives
• To monitor suppliers, ensuring corrective action as needed. To plan, hold and report on regular supplier meetings
• To take an overview of the raw materials process and MRO distribution component spend

Qualifications

Ideally qualified (CIPS / MCIPS) you will have a proven background in a similar role, with the ability to showcase your achievements, ideally with a strong understanding of the purchasing lifecycle for castings and other raw materials
