Overview

Are you a Buyer looking for a permanent position in Bispham, Blackpool? The salary is circa £36000. Working days are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday with an early finish Friday. If you have answered yes to the above, suitable candidates will be contacted and given additional information on the company and role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Pre-Purchase order authorisations are in place.
• Place Purchase Orders onto Suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Progress Order Confirmations to ensure work has commenced in line with contractual requirements.
• Progress order items to ensure that the schedule will be adhered to.
• Progress Query Resolution to ensure that items are not misheld.
• Obtain detailed proposals from Suppliers to ensure value for money.
• Maintain an effective administration to ensure records are kept of discussions / meetings and contract obligations are recorded.
• Support supplier reviews to enable improved performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be fully conversant in using Microsoft Office and have experience using an ERP / MRP system. CIP's qualification would be desirable.
