Job summary

Flexsource NI are currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer in the Newry area on a temporary full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support across multiple council departments.
  • Act as a main point of contact, delivering excellent customer service and managing queries/complaints to resolution.
  • Process applications, financial transactions, invoices and bookings in line with council procedures.
  • Manage data and document systems, ensuring accurate filing, archiving, retrieval and reporting.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas and minutes, and follow up on actions from meetings.
  • Support departmental projects, events and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with staff inductions, training and maintaining business support/quality management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, data protection, equality and council policies while promoting council values.
Requirements
  • 4 GCSE’s to include Math and English
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative based position
  • Previous experience in handling financial transactions and keeping associated records would be beneficial
  • A full driving licence and access to transport as travel to other sites may be required
