A regional healthcare authority in Wales is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide efficient administrative support to the Corporate Governance directorate. The ideal candidate will have experience in health data management, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information. This role offers both full-time and part-time options, along with a competitive salary package.
Job summary: The Business Support Officer will provide highly efficient and professional business support across the Corporate Governance directorate. On behalf of the Director of Corporate Governance, they will provide dedicated and confidential administrative and business support to the Chair, Vice Chair and Independent Members.
The post holder will work flexibly as part of the wider Corporate Governance directorate and report to the Director of Corporate Governance and Chief Business Officer. They will prioritise work to ensure the Chair, Vice Chair and Independent Members are fully briefed, prepared, and supported in all aspects of their functions. They will seek advice when necessary but remain responsible for managing their own area of work.

The post holder will be the main point of contact for general queries within the organisation, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. They will arrange high-level meetings, take notes, track matters, manage action and decision logs, and perform other business/administrative functions for the team.
This is a high-trust role requiring integrity and commitment. The post holder will handle confidential and sometimes very contentious and sensitive information and must observe confidentiality rules and policies.
