Job summary

A recruitment agency in Crewe is seeking a Business Officer for a 9-month contract. The role requires excellent organizational skills to manage Board Meetings and inquiries effectively.   • Serve as a primary contact for inquiries to the Safeguarding Adults Board.
  • Organize and support Board Meetings and various internal/external meetings.
  • Maintain office systems, stock, and equipment, while managing purchases.
  • Analyze complex financial and sensitive data as required.
  • Create reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Office.
  • Support the implementation of Safeguarding Adults Reviews and governance.
  • Keep records of income/expenditure and resolve budget discrepancies.
  • Lead projects assigned by the Business Coordinator.

Minute Experience Needed

  1. Act as a responsive and helpful central point of resolution for enquiries and queries to the Safeguarding Adults Board and the Community Safety Partnership, prioritising and appropriately dealing with or redirecting communications in a timely manner.
  2. Effectively organise and support a range of partnership Board Meetings, and internal & external meetings
  3. Effectively develop and maintain up to date office and filing systems, stationery, stock and equipment, actively reporting issues, arranging maintenance and repair and managing purchasing and receipting systems in a timely manner.
  4. Appropriately source and analyse data and information including complex, financial, confidential and sensitive data and information.
  5. Produce high level reports, letters, documents, spreadsheets, newsletters and presentations using Microsoft Office, and maintaining / updating the Board’s webpages and social media
  6. Support the co‑ordination, implementation and maintenance of Safeguarding Adults Reviews monitoring and governance including statutory and regulatory matters, in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain accurate records of income and expenditure and investigate budget discrepancies or queries in conjunction with the SAB Business Coordinator
  8. Lead on and undertake projects as agreed with the Business Co‑ordinator, and to deputise for the Business Coordinator as required and as appropriate.
