Overview

Our client has a newly created vacancy for a Business Development Team Manager who will be Driving Success, Coaching Growth, and Achieving Targets. This position reflects a significant shift in how they approach their sales objectives and team development. This new role is designed to foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. You will play a critical role in shaping future success by focusing on three areas: New Opportunity Pipeline, Productivity and Corporate Value Proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve team goals set by the sales management team.
  • Spend a high percentage of the working week with salespeople, with equal time in joint sales calls and field visits to assess salesperson’s ability and behaviours.
  • Ensure team members meet objectives through regular feedback, coaching, 1:1s, and team sales meetings.
  • Maintain Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for team members.
  • Conduct monthly team sales meetings using the prescribed template.
  • Recognise individual developmental requirements and recommend relevant training.
  • Maximise team productivity through effective visit planning and account planning.
  • Understand issues that hamper sales progress and escalate unresolved issues to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
  • Move non-productive behaviours to expert areas (Inside Sales for direct business; Distributor sales office for indirect sales).
  • Coordinate with Technical training via eLearning or Training department; obtain project technical help from SEG, Product team, or Project Management team as applicable.
  • Engage the team with company programmes and promotions.
  • Raise performance, engagement, or compliance issues to the RSM as needed.

Requirements
