The ideal candidate will have over five years’ experience in B2B sales, particularly within the industrial or construction sectors, and a strong track record of closing high-value deals. Talent STEM are supporting a rapidly growing cleantech company pioneering a transformative approach to decarbonising the concrete and cement industry. Based in the East Midlands with hybrid flexibility, this role offers the chance to scale an innovative low‑carbon solution from pilot through to commercial deployment across Europe's largest manufacturers.
You’ll own the commercial strategy and execution for converting strong market interest into pilot programmes and long‑term partnerships. This means building relationships across cement producers, ready‑mix operators, precast suppliers, and major construction groups—then shepherding opportunities from first conversation through negotiation and contract close.
Your day‑to‑day will blend relationship management with rigorous commercial discipline. You’ll work with the technical team to shape trial outcomes into commercial cases, prepare detailed proposals and economic models tailored to each customer’s priorities, and maintain a healthy pipeline with disciplined forecasting. Beyond the desk, you’ll represent the company at industry events and collaborate on funded innovation projects.
You’re a confident, commercially minded professional with genuine experience closing substantial B2B deals in industrial or manufacturing settings. You thrive in growth‑stage businesses where you wear multiple hats, and you’re equally comfortable discussing technical specs with plant managers as you are negotiating commercial terms with procurement teams.
