Business Development Manager – OEM

This is a strategic new business position targeting the UK, Europe, and North American markets, focusing on a range of engineered foam products for the Transportation, Industrial, and OEM markets.

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will execute a global sales strategy in key regions, selling engineered and lightweight foam products used in various applications. The role concentrates on the Transport, Smart Technology, and OEM market sectors, with products applied in automotive, aerospace, medical, military, and specialist industrial packaging.

You will target design authorities within these markets, working with end-user brands or their tier 1 OEM partners to ensure solutions are designed in, approved, and taken to production purchase orders. After project completion, you will pass the relationship to the regional account management team.

This innovative, British-based manufacturer of lightweight and technical foam products is rapidly growing. They work with major brand names in consumer goods, construction, and smart technologies, with offices in the UK, Europe, US, and the far east, led by an inspiring senior leadership team.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of working with Design Engineers within OEMs globally
  • Track record of new business development and onboarding new projects and clients
  • Strategic new business mindset with the ability to spot new opportunities
  • Consultative, technical sales approach – influencing at all levels
  • Technical education and route to market experience in relevant fields (Military, Medical, Specialist Packaging, Automotive, Aerospace) are advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
Package:

Base Salary: £60,000-80,000 DOE
Bonus: 30% of basic salary for hitting target, paid annually, plus additional commissions for over-achievement
