We have an exciting opportunity for a UK TRANSPORT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join an organisation with an excellent reputation promoting their National Transport services. Covering a national territory the role will be based from the Midlands UK Head Office and is offering a salary of £40,000 basic + Fully expensed company car, laptop, mobile, pension, bonus etc.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience of working in UK DOMESTIC TRANSPORT SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, sourcing leads, liaising with prospective customers, arranging and attending sales meetings, discussing their current transport levels & offering transport solutions, negotiating to gain new business. This role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present integrated supply chain solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across transport and logistics services
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
  • Generate leads, conduct client meetings, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, service contracts, and commercial terms in line with company policies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Build, maintain, and grow long‑term relationships with clients in key industries.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact, resolving issues in collaboration with operations and customer service teams.
Internal Collaboration

Work with Operations, Fleet Management, Planning, Warehousing, Finance, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of new accounts.
