We are partnering with a leading global manufacturer in the pump, valve, and reliability services industry to recruit a dynamic BDM – Reliability Solutions. This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong sales professional to join a renowned organisation and drive business growth across the UK.

About the role

As a BDM – Reliability Solutions, you will be a key player in expanding the company’s customer base and supporting the adoption of advanced technical solutions. The position offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based tasks with field sales and on‑site technical support.

Responsibilities
  • Technical Sales : Use your reliability engineering expertise to provide technical guidance and support to clients across sectors such as Energy, Petrochemical, Industrial, and Water.
  • Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers at all levels, ensuring their technical needs are met.
  • Sales Generation : Identify and develop new sales opportunities for advanced pumps, valves, and services, as well as generate enquiries from existing and new clients.
  • Quotation Preparation : Prepare and follow up on technical quotations for service activities and new product offerings.
  • Promotion of Solutions : Actively promote the company’s products and service partners, highlighting technical capabilities and benefits.
  • Preventative Maintenance : Propose preventative maintenance solutions and assess equipment criticality.
  • Targets and Reporting : Achieve monthly sales targets and submit detailed performance reports.
Key requirements
  • Engineering Background : Strong qualifications and / or experience in the pump / rotating equipment reliability service sector. Vibration analysis training is advantageous.
  • Reliability Engineering Knowledge : Expertise in predicting, preventing, and managing engineering system failures. Familiarity with machinery fundamentals (pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, etc.) is essential.
  • Commercial Experience : Proven sales and commercial experience.
  • Organisational Skills : Strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
  • Driving Licence : Valid UK driving licence with a good record.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Work Authorisation : Right to live and work in the UK.
