Business Development Manager

Our client specialises in importing bespoke FMCG Food products into the UK Food Distribution market. Due to growth and expansion plans they have created the brand new role of Business Development Manager specifically focussing on the HoReCa and Foodservice market sectors.

Role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth of our food brands across the HoReCa and wider Foodservice sector.

  • Developing New Business with Distributors, Wholesalers, and Direct End-User accounts
  • Strengthening relationships with Chefs, Caterers, Contract Catering Groups, Chef Schools and Foodservice Operators
  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Foodservice landscape, a passion for food, and the ability to convert opportunities into sustainable partnerships
  • Driving the Company's growth within the industry by building the channel plan, identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, developing the product portfolio and ensuring long-term success in a competitive marketplace
  • Work closely with internal teams and key stakeholders to identify trends, market needs, and create tailored business strategies to maximize revenue and market share
  • The range will be considered innovative; therefore, you will support customers from menu planning to planogram ideas
Candidate / Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the FMCG Foodservice industry
  • A passion for driving costs out of the business & increasing profitability
  • Ability to think outside the box and drive innovation
  • Adept with tech and able to learn quickly in a fast-evolving business landscape
  • Strong understanding of the supply chain, market trends, and customer needs
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving sales targets

  • Strong networking skills and the ability to engage with high-level stakeholders
