Overview

We are seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to join our wider sales team. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of top‑line sales targets and driving growth across key sectors including Government, Healthcare, and Education. You will work collaboratively with the team on multiple opportunities while taking ownership of your own pipeline of smaller opportunities, leading them through to successful conversion.

Job Description

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with regular travel across the UK, so flexibility and a full UK driving licence are essential. If you have proven experience in business development within the Facilities Management sector and a strong track record of winning new business through innovative solutions, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of top‑line sales targets in line with commercial objectives.
  • Assist in developing and executing the sales strategy aligned with the country’s overall commercial plan.
  • Define key markets, geographies, and targets in collaboration with the sector commercial team.
  • Own the end‑to‑end sales process for assigned opportunities, ensuring successful conversion.
  • Implement ISS’s commercial processes and tools effectively across all activities.
  • Identify and execute strategic sales initiatives to position ISS as the preferred partner.
  • Contribute to key sales processes and prioritise customer engagement activities.
  • Direct, develop, and motivate subject matter experts and support teams to enhance the sales process.
  • Act as a role model for CRM culture and best practices.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Proven experience in business development within the Facilities Management sector, ideally across Government, Healthcare, or Education.
  • Strong track record of delivering growth and improving profitability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
  • Demonstrated success in converting business and solutioning bids through creative, customer‑focused approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills, high work capacity, and strong interpersonal empathy.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for travel).
