Position: Business Development Manager

About the company

Our client is a very successful, UK-wide Retirement and Financial Education Group with headquarters based in Liverpool. A leading financial wellbeing and retirement specialist, the company is dedicated to helping people in the workplace improve their financial futures.

The Role

Due to expansion, the Group is keen to hire an ambitious Business Development Manager to join its extremely successful Sales team. The position is home based. Reporting to the Head of New Business, the Business Development Manager's key duties will include:

  • Delivering new profitable corporate clients to the business.
  • Delivering a new business sales target as defined by Head of New Business.
  • Developing and managing a new business contact plan to support the delivery of sales targets activities including pipeline development and activity planning & management.
  • Managing the follow up of new business leads to arrange initial and follow up appointments from:
    • External events
    • Mailing campaigns
    • Website enquiries
  • Developing a full understanding of the company's business model to support engaging discussions with prospects and new clients.
  • Supporting new client handover meetings with allocated Corporate Project Implementation Manager and Relationship Manager.
  • Keeping up to date on employee benefit market developments in particular workplace pensions and share schemes.
Requirements

Candidates interested in the Business Development Manager vacancy will need the following criteria:

  • 2+ years' experience in a sales or consultancy lead environment.
  • Currently working in a sales role for an Employee Benefits firm preferred.
  • Ideally hold the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
  • Possess experience of UK share schemes.
  • Possess experience of flex benefit offerings.
  • Be enthusiastic and driven.
