Business Development Manager | Hybrid

Are you an ambitious and self‑motivated sales professional looking for your next challenge? A well‑established manufacturer of high‑quality timber fire and security door‑sets is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to drive sales and growth across Central London and the Southeast.

The Role
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key contacts within housing associations, local authorities, and their contractor networks.
  • Drive new business by converting leads into sales using a structured, proactive approach.
  • Present and promote the company's products and services to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships to maximise business opportunities.
  • Identify, assess, and validate sales opportunities to ensure alignment with the company's offerings.
  • Represent the company on relevant procurement frameworks and portals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations.
  • Provide on‑site support and technical expertise to customers as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and opportunities.
Ideal Candidates
  • Have a proven track record of success in sales within the doors, housing, local authority or construction sectors.
  • Is comfortable managing tenders, proposals and framework agreements.
  • Has experience working with technical construction products.
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Is a natural networker with the tenacity to engage key decision‑makers.
  • Builds strong, trusted relationships with clients and becomes their go‑to advisor.
  • Has a strong desire to learn about the company's products and solutions.
  • Is willing to travel extensively across the target geography.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets in a business development role.
