Start date: April 2026

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: MPS/UPS - £34,398 - £52,490

Overview: In the heart of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire a 'good' Secondary School are on the hunt for a Business and Economics Teacher to join them from April 2026. This is a permanent, and full-time contract. The school is seeking a Business Studies and Economics Teacher who can teach across KS3–KS5. The department runs GCSE (9–1 Edexcel), A Level (AQA), Economics (Edexcel) and BTEC Level 3 courses. The department is well established and popular within the school. The school is investing in teaching practices and staff development.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Business and Economics across KS3–KS5 as required (GCSE, A Level and BTEC courses).
  • Contribute to an expanding department; support curriculum development and effective progress across all key stages.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school training and development initiatives.
  • Support and participate in the school’s bespoke ECT induction (if applicable).
  • Engage with professional learning and adopt new teaching practices as part of school improvement.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must have QTS or QTLS.
  • Strong academic record (Degree, A Levels and GCSEs).
  • Demonstrate achievement against the 8 Teaching Standards at a Good or Outstanding level.
