Role Overview

As a Business Analyst at Corndel, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to assess and improve processes, utilise data analysis to identify problems and opportunities, and develop comprehensive requirements that drive business success.

To do this successfully, you will have extensive skills in problem definition and requirements elicitation allowing you to get to root cause and need, to break the requirements down, and prioritise effectively.

You will work closely with technical, project, and operational teams to design and implement solutions which span multiple technologies including learner management systems, CRM, automations, AI, and data integrations to name a few.

To be successful, you will need to have a deep understanding of the full range of platforms and solutions and take a technology‑agnostic approach when defining requirements. We’re on the journey towards Agile working, so you will be comfortable in using the framework and a subject matter expert in the business to support others in adoption.

Your Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Process Assessment: Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop process maps and documentation to support process re‑engineering initiatives.
  • Facilitation: Facilitate stakeholder sessions to draw out detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Ensure that all voices are heard and that the outputs are clear and actionable.
  • Data Analysis: Utilise data analysis techniques to define problems, uncover opportunities, and support data‑driven decision‑making. Present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Requirements Development: Translate business needs into detailed technical and non‑technical requirements, ensuring that solutions meet stakeholder expectations and align with strategic objectives.
  • Solution Design: Work with cross‑functional teams, including developers and project managers, to design and implement effective solutions spanning multiple systems that address identified business problems and opportunities.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Testing and Validation: Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure that solutions meet requirements and deliver the expected outcomes. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices, staying abreast of industry trends, and proactively seeking opportunities for innovation.
What we look for
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, building requirements and solutions which span multiple systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, such as process modelling, requirements gathering, and data visualisation.
  • Has a good understanding of and has successfully used business improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Expert in using Agile to manage the development process, and capable of supporting the transition from non‑Agile working.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in facilitating stakeholder sessions to gather detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Great at pulling together threads across multiple issues to see the big picture and bringing stakeholders along on the journey.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Power BI) and software development life cycle methodologies.
