Are you an experienced Business Analyst ready to apply your skills in a meaningful and impactful way?

The PPP Service supports Bristol City Council in delivering strategic priorities through transformation, change, and capital construction projects. Our work spans the entire organisation, offering a diverse and rewarding environment where your contributions will help shape services that matter.

You’ll of delivery professionals, working within the Change & Transformation Portfolio to support projects that improve outcomes for communities.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to define and deliver project goals.
  • Leading business analysis activities including process mapping, identifying pain points, developing future-state processes, and gathering user requirements.
  • Conducting research and benchmarking with other organisations to inform best practice.
  • Supporting business case development through option evaluation and impact analysis.
  • Producing clear documentation including ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process maps, use cases, and specifications.
  • Communicating insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the adoption of redesigned processes and continuous improvement within service areas.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst (or equivalent) role within a change environment.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Lean, Agile, and Waterfall, and the ability to apply them to deliver measurable benefits.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Confidence in process design and redesign, and in translating complex information into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing priorities and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and using tools like Microsoft Teams and Office 365.

This is a fast-paced role where your expertise will help drive real change. You’ll be supported by a knowledgeable team and have the opportunity to grow your skills while delivering impactful outcomes across the organisation.

The role is hybrid, with flexibility to work from home. However, please note that your contractual place of work will be City Hall, Bristol, and you may be required to attend in person up to five days a week depending on service needs.
