In this role you’ll be responsible for collaborating and supporting different parts of our organisation, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness through your administrative skills and proactive approach. Working alongside experienced professionals you’ll develop a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied across industries and sectors.

Key job responsibilities
  • Using IT systems to perform administrative tasks such as writing letters, creating proposals, handling financial processes and analysing data.
  • Producing documents including emails, reports and proposals and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Making informed decisions to support business objectives.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Completing tasks to a high standard, applying problem‑solving skills to resolve complex issues and sharing best practices with the team.
  • Managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Utilising relevant project management principles and tools to plan, monitor and report on projects as required.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the organisation’s purpose, activities, policies and the wider business environment.

You will gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills while working towards the Level 3 apprenticeship standard Business Administrator. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies. Please note: As part of your off‑the‑job learning you may be required to travel to a training centre. This location may differ from your primary work base. You will build your skills over an 18‑month period starting in September. These skills will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge, on‑the‑job training at your Amazon base location, online learning as well as mentoring from our experienced team members.

Eligibility and Requirements
  • Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026).
  • Have the right to live and work in England (if you are on a visa this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in England for the entire duration of the program).
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years.
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program.
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government‑funded course ending August 2026 or later.
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4‑9 (A‑C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Please note if you have received educational qualifications outside of the UK then we will require a Statement of Comparability to confirm your eligibility for the scheme. Please ensure you obtain one during the application process through UK ENIC: Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility and offers are subject to funding approval.
  • PLEASE NOTE: This position is a 18‑month fixed‑term contract. You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship.
  • This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge / experience of the occupation.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn how business processes and operations work.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable using digital tools such as email, spreadsheets and collaboration platforms.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks or handling information.
  • Problem‑solving skills and the confidence to ask questions when needed.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues across different teams.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems, processes or ways of working.
  • A proactive approach – someone who takes initiative and looks for ways to improve tasks or workflows.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools is ideal (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) but this can be taught.
  • Interest in developing skills in areas such as administration, customer service, data entry, coordination or business support.
