The Role:
Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking to advance your career with a global leader in loss adjusting? Our client, a renowned firm in the insurance and claims industry, is seeking a skilled professional to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical surveying expertise to assess property damage, provide expert reports, and support insurance claims handling across residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct building damage assessments following insured events (fire, flood, subsidence, structural failures, etc.).
- Provide detailed reports and cost evaluations to insurers, loss adjusters, and policyholders.
- Offer technical advice on reinstatement, repairs, and restoration strategies.
- Work alongside loss adjusters, insurers, and legal teams to support claim resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, industry standards, and insurance requirements.
- Manage multiple claims effectively, delivering high-quality customer service throughout the process.
- Chartered or AssocRICS/MRICS/FRICS accredited (or working towards).
- Strong technical building pathology knowledge and experience in property damage assessment.
- Background in insurance claims, loss adjusting, or construction surveying is highly desirable.
- Excellent report writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Full UK driving license (as site visits may be required)
