The diocesan Property Team is undergoing a period of transformation including restructure and modernisation of our systems and ways of working, to improve our support for clergy and parishes in local ministry.

As part of this transformation we are bringing in-house the quinquennial (5 yearly) inspection programme and long term maintenance planning for our portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with our Clergy Housing Manager to deliver improved support for clergy with their housing needs.

Thank you for your interest in the role of Building Surveyor and Facilities Manger. This is a new role within our property team working alongside colleagues to manage works across the diocesan property portfolio, including responsibility for the quinquennial (5-yearly) inspection programme, long-term maintenance planning, compliance monitoring and strategic oversight of contractor performance.

We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS, or equivalent) with experience in residential building condition surveys and a project track record of project and contractor management.
