Building Surveyor

Location: Cardiff (hybrid - 1 week on-site, 2 weeks remote)

Contract: 6 months + possible extension

IR35: Inside

Rate: 410 Umbrella

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to support a major rail organisation on a 6-month contract. The role involves carrying out and reporting on condition surveys across a diverse building portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and rail standards.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage asset condition surveys to required standards and deadlines.
  • Report on asset condition using the company's asset management system.
  • Support Asset Engineers with maintenance priorities, business planning, and technical work scopes.
  • Monitor planned/reactive maintenance and attend scheme hand-backs.
  • Fulfill Building Surveyor duties under CDM 2015.
Requirements
  • HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience in building condition surveying.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and statutory maintenance requirements.
  • Rail knowledge including track safety and possessions regime.
  • Valid DBS, PTS, and STE5 competencies from Day One.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
