A growing surveyor practice in Epsom is looking for a Building Surveyor to provide expert surveying services on various projects, including education and healthcare sectors. The role involves conducting surveys, advising on building regulations, and collaborating with project teams. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Building Surveying, RICS chartered status or in progress, along with experience in relevant sectors. This position offers a chance to work on diverse and impactful projects focusing on sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Chartered status with RICS (or working towards).
  • Experience in building surveying, particularly within the education, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of building regulations, project management, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct building surveys, including condition assessments and dilapidation reports.
  • Advise on building regulations, statutory compliance, and health & safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage refurbishment, new builds, and extensions.
  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors to provide cost estimates and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare technical reports and offer solutions to mitigate project risks.

Overview

My client are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on behalf of a small practice of 15 staff, specialising in the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. In this role, you'll be working on a wide variety of projects, providing expert surveying services while collaborating with teams of architects and quantity surveyors. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects with a focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct building surveys, including condition assessments and dilapidation reports.
  • Advise on building regulations, statutory compliance, and health & safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams to manage refurbishment, new builds, and extensions.
