Building Fabric Craftsperson

Shift-based, Monday-Sunday (07:00-19:00)

About the Role

Serco are seeking a skilled Maintenance Painter / Building Fabric Technician to support the safe and efficient upkeep of a hospital environment. You will carry out reactive repairs, decorating, and minor maintenance works to high standards, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and contract KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out decorating, defect works, and minor maintenance across the hospital
  • Prepare and finish surfaces including walls, doors, and ceilings
  • Apply paint and decorative finishes with attention to detail
  • Work safely in line with Serco policies and site procedures
  • Use PPE and comply with time & attendance systems
  • Communicate defects and parts requirements to supervisors
  • Be flexible to work shifts and occasional extended hours
What You'll Need
  • Recognised apprenticeship or relevant training
  • Level 2/3 NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar environment (healthcare preferred)
  • Working at height / ladder or tower scaffold experience
  • Good communication and customer service skills
