Job Title: Bricklaying Tutor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Hemel Hempstead – Centre based

Salary: up to £35,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria
  • Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Bricklaying.
  • Experience of delivering vocational training, or on-the-job training to colleagues/Apprentices.
  • Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET – fully funded and supported by employer.
  • Must hold solid occupational competency within Bricklaying.
  • Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.
  • Must be IT Literate.
Duties include
  • Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 2 vocational qualification in Bricklaying within a classroom-based environment.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
  • Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
