Breakfast Chef – The Grosvenor Hotel, Plymouth

Zero-Hour Contract | Weekend Availability Required

The Grosvenor Hotel on Plymouth Hoe is looking for a reliable and motivated Breakfast Chef to join our team on a zero-hour basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, takes pride in delivering a great breakfast experience, and is happy to support the team during busy periods.

Hours: Start time: Between 6:00am and 8:00am. Finish time: Approximately 10:30am–11:00am. Shifts will vary depending on business levels.

Contract Type: Zero Hours – you will be required to cover staff holidays, weekends, and sickness when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook our breakfast service to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Serve guests directly during quieter periods.
• Work independently and efficiently.
• Follow daily checklists and communicate clearly with the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (required).
• Experience in a kitchen environment (breakfast cooking preferred but not essential).
• Someone dependable, punctual, and comfortable working alone at times.
• A friendly, customer-focused attitude.
