Job summary

A global automotive company is seeking a Brand Design Planner to coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary design projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning, knowledge of design processes, and strong stakeholder management skills. This contract role is based in Coventry and is expected to last until March 2026.

Overview

Brand Design Planner – Coventry · Contract Until March 2026

Working with a global automotive company, this opportunity as a Brand Design Planner (producer) involves the upfront coordination and handling of requests into the brand design team.

The purpose of the role is to turn requests into robust project plans, resourced appropriately and structured with deliverables and reviews against timing plans, setting projects up for success before handing off to programme management.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for setting up how multi-disciplinary projects are operationalised; creating the framework and blueprint for delivery.
  • Follow projects through from initiation to conclusion and ensure successful delivery.
  • Act proactively to anticipate issues and manage risk.
  • Insightful planning that marries resource, deliverables and timing.
  • Key support function of operational management of the design hub to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with programme management and business operations teams to ensure appropriate team capacity to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • Supports and informs capacity planning.
Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of design and the process through to delivery.
  • Experience of strategically planning multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Ability to translate plans and strategies into action to support project execution.
  • Producer with a strong track record of delivery within both agency and corporate settings.
  • Creatively sensitive with an acumen to understand complex multi-disciplinary design projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex information to all levels within the business.
  • Comfortable managing projects across different cultures, geography and time zones.
  • Experience of Wrike, Workfront and MS Project.
