Brake Press Setter – Downton, Salisbury
Salary: £32k – 36k

If you are a Brake Press Setter who likes clean parts and a clean conscience, this is for you. The company supplies several industries with mild steel parts from 1 mm upwards, from neat small components to larger panels, with typical tolerances around 1 mm. They are currently searching for a solid & reliable Brake Press Setter or Programmer. If you can comfortably run a brake press and want to learn more, or program it from scratch already, you’ll be in contention, as long as you show the right attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set and run press brakes, load programs, and hit 1 mm tolerances
• Work on Bystronic, Amada, Edwards Pearson, Durma or Cincinnati
• Check first offs, make sensible adjustments, and keep quality consistent
• Support light fabrication when needed to keep flow smooth

Key Skills

• Confident Setter or fully-skilled Programmer welcome
• Comfortable with Bystronic, Amada, Edwards Pearson, Durma or Cincinnati
• Read simple drawings and measure accurately to 1 mm
• Calm problem solver with a tidy approach
