Family/Client: Yes, kitten. Accommodation: Lounge area for support team, with access to kitchen facilities. Recruiter: Jade (jade@snapcare.co.uk) | Janet (janet@snapcare.co.uk).
About our client: Teddy is soon to be 10 years old, and lives at home in Bromley with his Mum, Dad and older sister. Teddy and his family recently moved into a new fully adapted home that meets all his care needs, including a ceiling track hoist, therapy room and swimming pool. Teddy has Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. He is a full-time wheelchair user and communicates via a communication aid, body language, sounds and expressions. He loves outdoors or games like “eye spy” and watching movies. The focus is on promoting Teddy’s independence and facilitating his decision making. Snap Care is assisting his Case Manager and Team Leader to recruit an additional member of the night care team to continue the progress already made.
Overview of role: This is not a typical night care role. Although each night shift is a “Waking Night,” the main focus is improving Teddy’s sleep quality with the end goal of achieving full night’s sleep regularly. A new house and expanding team require consistency and continuity; a detailed care plan from Teddy’s clinical psychologist must be followed each night to establish good sleep hygiene and a sleep routine. Applicants must have full availability to work on a rota basis and commit to this role for a minimum of 12 months.
Teddy is a charming young boy with huge potential. This is a small, dedicated, and professional team with ongoing support and supervision from Teddy’s Team Leader and Case Manager. There are opportunities to upskill through ongoing training.
