TPF Recruitment are delighted to partner with an independent accountancy practice in London who are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join their finance team within the fast-paced entertainment industry.

This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and supporting the financial health of creative projects and production teams. As a Bookkeeper in the entertainment sector, you will manage day-to-day financial operations for high-profile productions, talent management entities and event-based ventures, requiring both precision and adaptability.

Your work will directly influence budgeting accuracy, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making across multiple revenue streams, including film, music, live events, and digital content.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for multiple entertainment projects and business units
  • Process and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and manage financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and industry-specific financial standards
  • Track project budgets and monitor expenditures against forecasts, providing timely variance analysis
  • Liaise with producers, talent managers, and external accountants to resolve financial discrepancies and support audit readiness
  • Manage invoicing for creative services, vendor payments, and royalty distributions with strict attention to deadlines and contractual terms
  • Implement and maintain digital bookkeeping systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Assist in the onboarding of new productions by setting up financial structures and tracking systems
Requirements
  • 2 years of proven experience in bookkeeping within an accountancy firm or creative industry environment
  • Strong proficiency in bookkeeping principles, financial reporting and tax compliance (UK GAAP and HMRC requirements)
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Clear understanding of financial management in project-based or short-term revenue models common in entertainment
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders
  • Valid right to work in the UK (required)
