Job Title: Part Qualified Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Fox Milne (Free On-Site Parking Available)
Salary: £25,500 to £35,000 Offer based on experience
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Flexible hours available)
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays
Responsibilities
- Final Accounts Preparation: Prepare accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses up to trial balance/review stage, using accounting software to generate tax computations (both corporate and personal).
- Bookkeeping: Manage client records and provide ongoing bookkeeping support using software such as Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
- VAT Returns: Review client records and prepare VAT returns, liaising with clients for necessary approvals before submission to HMRC.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll during busy periods using Sage Payroll software, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Management Accounts: Prepare simple management accounts and reports to provide clients with insights into their financials.
- Client Liaison: Advise clients on upcoming deadlines and requirements, chasing paperwork as needed.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and client satisfaction.
- HMRC Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients, managing communications with HMRC on their behalf.
What We're Looking For
- Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, AAT Level 3 or above).
- With at least 3 years experience in an accountancy practice at a semi/senior level, covering a broad range of duties.
- Proficient in accounting software (Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Experienced in managing client relationships and confident in liaising with clients and HMRC.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
- Outgoing and eager to develop new skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.
