Overview

Simon Acres Group are working with a well-established, independent kitchen manufacturer seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly team in the Northamptonshire area.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro-rata DOE

Hours: 2 - 3 days per week, flexible

Responsibilities

• Supporting the finance function by managing all day-to-day bookkeeping duties and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
• Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
• Managing payroll and associated HMRC submissions
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with deadlines
• Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
• Liaising with external accountants and auditors when required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Previous experience within the KBB or manufacturing industry is desirable
