Job description

Ashton Recruitment require a Booking Coordinator for our client based in Belfast.

Position: Booking Coordinator
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary - Permanent
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Originally established over 20 years ago, the organisation was founded by the University of Ulster. It provides interpreting, translation, and language tuition services to businesses across Northern Ireland, covering all major world languages.

Duties will include :
  • The role will involve scheduling translators and interpreters in a busy office environment to meet the demands of a variety of customers across Northern Ireland
  • Managing incoming calls, efficiently responding to customer enquiries and scheduling translators / interpreters as required
  • General office administration including basic financial record keeping and filing
  • CV searching and managing applications
  • Key account management
  • Updating and maintaining databases to support day to day activity, ensuring all customer records are updated and accurately recorded
  • Any other duties as may be deemed appropriate by the Business Manager and or CEO to support the team as and when required.
Essential Criteria :
  • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent level 3 qualification (as per National qualification framework) or above
  • A minimum of 12 months proven experience of administrative work including taking and making telephone calls in a busy office environment
  • Experience of proficiently using MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience of inputting data into a computerised database in an accurate and efficient mannerExperience of successfully managing, planning and prioritising a varied and busy workload to tight deadlines
  • Proven working knowledge of and commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with wide range of individuals
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a small team whilst using initiative
  • Client focused with a positive attitude
Desirable Criteria
  • 2 years' proven experience of administrative work including taking and making telephone calls in a busy office environment
