Responsibilities

  • Ensure the team is ready to begin work at 7am, including opening the workshop.
  • Hold daily morning meetings with the team.
  • Oversee the correct use of equipment, uniforms and tools.
  • Discuss vehicle status with the Regional Manager.
  • Update CJS to provide customers with repair progress.
  • Order parts for upcoming vehicles in advance.
  • Manage the work volume for vehicles due in.
  • Ensure all vehicles have a complete and accurate job pack.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels.
  • Maintain quality control of repairs.

Salary

£57,500 - £77,900 OTE with a company EV Vehicle
£60,000 - £80,400 OTE without a company EV Vehicle
Note that BIK (benefit in kind tax) is paid on all company vehicles from your gross salary.

Hours

50 hours per week including paid breaks, 7am-5pm Monday to Friday

Halo ARC Newport – the UK‑based accident repair group with 37 centres across the UK. Halo has partnered with IRS (Intelligent Repair Services) in Germany, providing a platform for excellent training, development and employee packages.

Role Overview

The Bodyshop Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the workshop while maintaining Halo’s quality, customer service and speed of repairs. You will report to and work closely with the Regional Manager, working efficiently in a modern fast‑paced clean environment, collaborating as a team player and consistently meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the team is ready to begin work at 7am, including opening the workshop and turning on all equipment.
  • Hold daily morning meetings with the team to delegate tasks, communicate the day’s targets and address any issues.
  • Oversee the correct use of equipment, uniforms and tools to support staff well‑being.
  • Discuss vehicle status and potential challenges with the Regional Manager, including vehicles on‑site and those due in.
  • Update CJS to provide customers with accurate repair progress updates.
  • Order parts for upcoming vehicles at least three business days in advance.
  • Manage the work volume for vehicles due in and currently on‑site.
  • Ensure all vehicles have 10‑stage repair images for a complete and accurate job pack.
  • Monitor and manage wet and dry stock levels.
  • Maintain quality control of repairs throughout each stage of the process.
