The Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Blown Film Extrusion Operator to oversee the operation of our film extrusion machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, particularly in plastic film extrusion processes. The Blown Film Extrusion Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment to produce plastic film products that meet quality standards and production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare extrusion machinery for production runs according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Operate and monitor blown film extrusion equipment to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance.
• Adjust machine settings, temperatures, and speeds as necessary to maintain product quality and maximise efficiency.
• Monitor raw material levels and replenish as needed to sustain uninterrupted production.
• Conduct quality checks at regular intervals to ensure product specifications are met, making adjustments as necessary.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a blown film extrusion operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with plastic extrusion processes, equipment, and materials.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
