Responsibilities

  • Supervising and leading the team of Blending Operatives.
  • Ensuring 100% conformity in bulk products.
  • Logging processes and ensuring adherence to blending procedures.
  • Troubleshooting issues during blending processes.
  • Maintaining accurate Quality Records.
  • Managing inventory of department consumables.
  • Conducting product and ingredient conformity tests.
  • Calibrating measuring instruments according to Quality Procedures.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Providing guidance and training to team members.
  • Creating a culture of Health & Safety awareness.

We are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Blending Team Leader to join our dynamic team at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury.

Reporting to the Blending Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing and managing various production processes to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the quality of our products.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growth environment and contribute to the success of a cutting-edge skincare company.

For this opportunity, we are offering between £32,000 - £35,000, depending on experience. This shift comes with £4,000 annual allowance.

Working Monday to Thursday onsite - 10pm - 8:30am.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising and leading the team of Blending Operatives.
  • Ensuring 100% conformity in bulk products and adherence to blending room procedures.
  • Logging processes and ensuring that the blending procedures are followed accurately.
  • Troubleshooting issues that may arise during blending processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring that Quality Records are accurate, maintained and up to date.
  • Assisting in managing inventory of department consumables and the purchasing of items necessary for routine production.
  • Conducting product and ingredient conformity tests using laboratory equipment.
  • Calibrating measuring instruments in strict accordance with Quality Procedures.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the department.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Create a culture of Health & Safety awareness, good manufacturing practices, high quality standard and effective housekeeping.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced environment desirable.
  • Effective communicator, proven experience of delivering key messages and updates to your team and collaborating with other departments.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing blending priorities.
  • Knowledgeable of when and how to escalate issues, concerns or challenges to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
